Born Rome 1961, Alberto Callari has been working in Milan since 1985, initially with record companies on album covers for Italian artists such as Eros Ramazzotti and then moving on to publishing work with Condè Nast. Mondadori and Rizzoli.
In 1990 he opened his own studio has since been concentrating on advertising work with important brands such as: Levis, Nestlè, Telecom, Somma, Microsoft, Walt Disney, Invicta, Infostrada, Intesa Bci, Scovolini, Salmoiraghi&Vigano, Primigi.
Since 1990 to today Alberto Callari has made 10 shorts as a video artist:
The “Pax-Max”series shown at the Bellaria, Taormina, Annecy, Aubagne, and Berlin festivals.
With Carlo Isola he created the video magazine Lo-Res produced by Castelvecchi Publishers.
1992: “Salva il mio cuore” won at the Bellaria Festival.
1995: his “La Sosta” was submitted to the Locarno Film Festival and as a result purchased by Cannel 4 , UK.
1997: “Notte Alta” and “Zakir Hussein” were both purchased for the Medialogo video library for the Province of Milan.
In 2000 the internet site www.albertocallari.com was created to show a selection of his most significant advertising photos.

The main field of his photography is portraits, with an exquisite pictorial light, and a fine interpretation of the persons.
